The Verdant Wanderer

The run

Eight rooms. One life.

  1. 01Take Opening Bell from Vale, choose an Oath, and cross the gate.
  2. 02Fight, gather, and shape your build through an eight-room descent.
  3. 03Choose a market boon after rooms 1–7, then equipment or a potion from the cache. Escape with Bell marks or risk the final door for the Red Bear.

Between descents

A town worth returning to.

The forge is warm. The provisions are counted. Before the castle asks what you can afford to lose, meet the people helping you come home.

Rowan at his forge and Sable beside her provisions welcome the wanderer to a forest market beneath the castle.

Alchemist · Preparation & restraint

Iona the Alchemist

An older woman with a silver braid and a teal apron, Iona grows herbs in castle mortar. Each dawn the mortar returns differently; she keeps careful notes on what takes root.

Meet Iona the Alchemist

Make the next descent count. Sable’s Supply Contract adds a ration to every future run. Rowan’s Tempered opening blade puts the Red Bear blueprint to work. Iona’s Preparation costs 3 Bell marks once: choose a starting potion, then switch it free between runs.

Prepare for the next room

One cache.
One choice.

Claim your boon, then weigh the cache’s equipment against its potion. Take one, never both. A sharper weapon, a steadier guard, or recovery saved for the right moment.
